A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Norman Joseph Stuckey Jr.; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2
with the passing of Norman Joseph Stuckey Jr. on March 3, 2025; and3
WHEREAS, Norman Joseph Stuckey Jr. was born on January 29, 1933, in Cadwell, Georgia,4
a beloved son of Norman Joseph Stuckey Sr. and Allene Stuckey; and5
WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and l iberty with the United6
States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans as a member of the7
101st Airborne Division, Screaming Eagles; and8
WHEREAS, after completing his military service, he worked at Robins Air Force Base as9
an aircraft mechanic and was later promoted to the role of cont racting officer, where he10
played an essential role in procuring weapons systems and parts; and11
WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Almaleen, on July 4, 1953, and12
the two were blessed with two remarkable children, Mike and Tim , six wonderful13
grandchildren, and 16 exceptional great-grandchildren; and14

WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Norman Joseph Stuckey J r . s e r v e d a s a15
member of Cadwell Baptist Church, where he held the role of deacon and performed many16
acts of service for his community, as well as Dudley Baptist Church; and17
WHEREAS, he took great joy in cultivating his Christmas tree farm, carefully maintaining18
it and crafting wreaths to bring holiday cheer to families throughout the community; and19
WHEREAS, in the later years of his life, he was a beloved resident of Magnolia Estates, now20
known as The Grove, where his kindness, humor, and generosity endeared him to staff and21
fellow residents, culminating in his recognition as Valentine's King of the Grove; and22
WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation23
for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he24
made this world a better place in which to live; and25
WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Norman Joseph Stucke y Jr. will long be26
remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who27
had the great fortune of knowing him.28
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that29
the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Norman Joseph Stuckey30
Jr. and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.31
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the33
family of Norman Joseph Stuckey Jr.34
