A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Senator Jon Ossoff; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, since his election, Senator Jon Ossoff has championed economic development2
in Georgia, passing legislation that has attracted thousands of advanced manufacturing jobs3
and billions of dollars in investment, strengthening the state's economy and workforce; and4
WHEREAS, through the historic bipartisan infrastructure law, he has secured funding to5
greatly expand broadband internet access; upgrade Georgia's ports, airports, roads, bridges,6
and water infrastructure; and invest in coastal resilience to protect communities from storm7
surge, flooding, and tropical storms; and8
WHEREAS, he has led bipartisan investigations exposing the mist reatment of military9
families in privatized housing, corruption in federal prisons, the sexual assault of female10
inmates, and the medical mistreatment of women in federal detention; and11
WHEREAS, he has upgraded and strengthened healthcare facilities across Georgia as well12
as helped pass legislation capping the cost of insulin for seniors at $35 per month; and13

WHEREAS, deeply committed to supporting Georgia's veterans, ser vicemembers, and14
military families, he has passed bipartisan legislation to expand veterans' access to mental15
health care, upgrade child development centers for military fam ilies, and enhance VA16
healthcare services for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans; and17
WHEREAS, his legislative achievements further include laws to s trengthen mental health18
care services, public safety, and opioid epidemic response; investigate unsolved lynchings19
and civil rights murders; combat corruption and improve securit y in federal prisons; and20
safeguard children from online exploitation; and21
WHEREAS, through his unwavering commitment to service, bipartis anship, and the22
well-being of Georgians, Senator Ossoff continues to deliver critical reforms and investments23
that improve the lives of families, veterans, and communities across the state.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body recognize and commend Senator Jon Osso ff for his efficient,26
effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most27
sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to30
Senator Jon Ossoff.31
