25 LC 112 3247 House Resolution 581 By: Representatives Byrd of the 20th and Ridley of the 22nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing April 14, 2025, as Cherokee County 911 Foundation D ay; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors launched the Cherokee County 911 Foundation on April3 14, 2024; and4 WHEREAS, the Cherokee County 911 Foundation supports the Cherokee County E 9-1-15 Center, which is the primary public safety dispatch point for a ll law enforcement, fire and6 emergency services, emergency management, and Reinhardt University in Cherokee County,7 Georgia; and8 WHEREAS, the Cherokee County 911 Foundation is the only public safety 501(c)(3)9 nonprofit foundation in the State of Georgia solely focused on 911 operations; and10 WHEREAS, the Cherokee County 911 Foundation and its board membe rs have a mission11 to support, advocate, and advance the Cherokee County E 9-1-1 Center; and12 WHEREAS, the Cherokee County 911 Foundation and its board members have a vision to13 be the voice for Cherokee County E 9-1-1; and14 H. R. 581 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3247 WHEREAS, the Cherokee County 911 Foundation and its board members support, advocate,15 and advance through programs and initiatives to assist employees of the Cherokee County16 E 9-1-1 Center by creating an emergency fund, promoting mental and physical health,17 certification, training, and education, and supporting the Community Outreach Unit; and18 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this day be appropriately recognized in19 honor of the Cherokee County 911 Foundation and its Board of Di rectors for their20 dedication, passion, and hard work in supporting, advocating fo r, and advancing the21 Cherokee County E 9-1-1 Center.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body recognize April 14, 2025, as Cherokee County 911 Foundation24 Day.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the27 public and the press.28 H.
