25 LC 129 0325 House Resolution 586 By: Representatives Lim of the 98th, Hilton of the 48th, Dempsey of the 13th, Beckles of the 96th, Reeves of the 99th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Jeffery D. Cooper and Cooper Pediatrics; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, Dr. Jeffery D. Cooper has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for3 the vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep pe rsonal commitment to the4 welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,6 talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced7 dramatically by his superlative service as a pediatrician and educator; and8 WHEREAS, Dr. Cooper's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable9 patience and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of10 this state have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and11 WHEREAS, his dedicated, compassionate, and innovative work has been recognized through12 numerous awards, including being named the Best Pediatric Pract ice Atlanta, by Atlanta13 BestSelf Magazine, in 2020; earning the Nicholas E. Davies Award for Excellence in Primary14 Care; and being Voted Best of Gwinnett from 2021 to 2024, by Gwinnett Magazine; and15 H. R. 586 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0325 WHEREAS, Dr. Cooper currently works at his practice, Cooper Pediatrics, PC, in Duluth,16 Georgia, as well as serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Community Medicine at17 Mercer University School of Medicine; and 18 WHEREAS, he has left an indelible mark on his community through health initiatives at19 Graves Elementary School and Luck Shoals Park, where he not onl y provided staff and20 equipment but also facilitated the distribution of vaccines; and21 WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for22 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and23 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this24 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Jeffery D. C ooper of Cooper27 Pediatrics for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of28 Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.31 Jeffery D.
