25 LC 129 0312 House Resolution 574 By: Representatives Jones of the 143rd, Herring of the 145th, Griffin of the 149th, Reese of the 140th, and Flournoy of the 74th A RESOLUTION Commending Khoriandre Watkins-Ware, Southwest Magnet High School and Law Academy1 School's 2024-2025 STAR Teacher; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3 important objective of the General Assembly; and4 WHEREAS, Khoriandre Watkins-Ware has long been recognized by the citizens of this state5 for the vital role that she has played in the teaching professi on and her deep personal6 commitment to the education of the students of Georgia; and7 WHEREAS, she is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of expe rience, who has been8 committed to fostering student success through evidence-based l earning strategies,9 stakeholder collaboration, and innovative instructional methods; and10 WHEREAS, Khoriandre Watkins-Ware has earned distinction, and nu merous awards, for11 teaching excellence and has been honored as Southwest Magnet Hi gh School and Law12 Academy School's 2024-2025 STAR Teacher; and13 H. R. 574 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0312 WHEREAS, in recognition of her contributions to the education and welfare of young people14 in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this bod y to honor the extraordinary15 accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body commend Khoriandre Watkins-Ware, South west Magnet High18 School and Law Academy School's 2024-2025 STAR Teacher, and exp ress their most19 sincere best wishes for continued success.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22 Khoriandre Watkins-Ware.23 H.
