A RESOLUTION
Recognizing March 20, 2025, as Out The Trap Day at the state ca pitol; and for other1
purposes.2
WHEREAS, Out The Trap Day is a transformative, community-driven initiative that3
empowers individuals seeking to overcome barriers and build a f uture of stability,4
opportunity, and personal growth; and5
WHEREAS, this day serves as an urgent call to action to mobiliz e resources, expand6
educational opportunities, and establish unwavering support systems that promote economic7
empowerment, rehabilitation, and personal development; and8
WHEREAS, Out The Trap Day embodies Georgia's steadfast commitment to harm reduction,9
criminal justice reform, economic development, and community-based solutions that uplift10
and protect the most vulnerable populations, including survivor s of human and drug11
trafficking; and12
WHEREAS, participation in Out The Trap Day fosters vital collab oration among local13
organizations, public officials, and community leaders to confr ont and dismantle the root14

causes of economic and social injustice, particularly those that enable human trafficking and15
exploitation; and16
WHEREAS, the following individuals are to be honored during this year's Out The Trap Day17
for their steadfast commitment to uplifting individuals affecte d by systemic barriers:18
Anthony "Young Marley" Reed, Dr. Roz McCarthy, Big Bank, Big Gi pp, Chris Brown,19
Corey Lowe, Donnetta Wells, Dr. April Hang, Dr. Rasean Hodge, Evan Hall, Judson Hill,20
Kyle Brown, Micheal "Coach" Harris, Mychel "Snoop" Dilliard, Robert "Roo" McClendon,21
Scotty Smart, Shaleea "Lucki" Johnson, Shar Bates, Sunday Jones, and Terry Woodard; and22
WHEREAS, recognizing this day highlights the power of second chances, the necessity of23
rehabilitation, and the creation of tangible pathways to success for those striving to break free24
from cycles of harm, exploitation, and systemic oppression.25
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26
the members of this body recognize March 20, 2025, as Out The T rap Day and encourage27
policymakers, community organizations, and the public to engage in and support initiatives28
that foster empowerment, justice, and systemic transformation.29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to each31
individual named herein, the public, and the press.32
