A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
To amend an Act to continue and re-create the State Court of Gw innett County, approved1
March 23, 1977 (Ga. L. 1977, p. 3331), as amended, so as to as to provide a supplement for2
the chief judge of said court; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for3
other purposes.4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5
SECTION 1.6
An Act to continue and re-create the State Court of Gwinnett County, approved March 23,7
1977 (Ga. L. 1977, p. 3331), as amended, is amended by adding a new subsection to8
Section 13 to read as follows:9
"(c.1) The governing authority of Gwinnett County shall provide from county funds10
supplements to the compensation otherwise provided for in this Act for the chief judge of11
said court in the amount of $10,000.00 per year, to be paid in 12 equal monthly payments. 12
The supplement provided by this section shall be in addition to any other compensation or13
supplements provided to each judge of the court."14

SECTION 2.15
This Act shall become effective on June 1, 2025.16
SECTION 3.17
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.18
