25 LC 112 3400 House Resolution 638 By: Representatives Scott of the 76th, Schofield of the 63rd, and Davis of the 87th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Mr. Hanan Abdul-Wahab on his outstanding public service;1 and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Mr. Hanan Abdul-Wahab, an Agricultural Engineer and Post-Harvest Expert,3 serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Food Buff er Stock Company Ltd -4 Ghana, where his impactful leadership has contributed to significant advancements in food5 security and agricultural sustainability; and6 WHEREAS, under Mr. Abdul-Wahab's v isionary stewardship, NAFCO h as undergone7 remarkable reforms that have significantly bolstered Ghana's fo od security landscape,8 including the revitalization of critical infrastructure and the establishment of transformative9 partnerships that have fortified NAFCO's operational framework; and10 WHEREAS, his leadership has facilitated the seamless distribution of food to Senior High11 Schools across Ghana, a pivotal component of the nation's Free Senior High School program,12 thereby enhancing nutritional standards and educational outcomes nationwide; and13 H. R. 638 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3400 WHEREAS, Mr. Abdul-Wahab's adept management has transformed NAF CO into a14 financially self-sustaining entity, achieving profitability and reducing reliance on external15 funding sources; and16 WHEREAS, his initiatives have expanded NAFCO's operational reac h throughout the17 country, effectively mitigating post-harvest losses and optimizing agricultural resources; and18 WHEREAS, Mr. Hanan Abdul-Wahab's exemplary achievements underscore his unwavering19 commitment to excellence and innovation in advancing food secur ity and economic20 resilience in Ghana, setting a benchmark for sustainable agricultural practices and impactful21 public service; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this23 remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately recognized.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body recognize and commend Mr. Hanan Abdul-Wahab for his efficient,26 effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to Ghana and extend the most sincere best27 wishes for continued health and happiness.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mr.30 Hanan Abdul-Wahab.31 H.
