A RESOLUTION
Commending Cocoa Brown and recognizing March 20, 2025, as Trail Blazing Women in1
Georgia Day; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day acknowledges the philanthropic, social,3
and cultural contributions of women in the state; and4
WHEREAS, Cocoa Brown has long been recognized for the vital role that she has played5
in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare o f the citizens of Georgia;6
and7
WHEREAS, Cocoa is an actress, comedienne, entrepreneur, and Screen Actors Guild award8
Nominee best know her for her roles in Tyler Perry's "The Singl e Mom Club," OWN9
Network's "For Better or For Worse," and her comedy special "Famous Enough"; and10
WHEREAS, Cocoa serves her community though her partnerships with the Social Butterflies11
Foundation, which supports women with lupus and fibromyalgia; t he Wigs of Love12
Foundation, which celebrates and honors women battling hair loss from lupus; and though13
From Stage 2 Screen and Little Oscars where she teaches children and adults acting, stand-up14
comedy, and show business; and15

WHEREAS, with her passion and talent, Cocoa Brown remains an unstoppable force in the16
entertainment industry, continuing to deliver captivating perfo rmances across a variety of17
genres; and18
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng contributions of this21
individual be appropriately honored.22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23
the members of this body commend Cocoa Brown for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and24
dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; recognize March, 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing25
Women in Georgia Day; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and26
happiness.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to29
Cocoa Brown.30
