25 LC 112 3380 House Resolution 630 By: Representatives LaHood of the 175th, Corbett of the 174th, and Burchett of the 176th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Franklin Bailey; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Franklin Bailey is a 34-year member of both the Home B uilders Association2 of South Georgia (HBASG) and the Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG), where3 he currently serves as the 2024-2025 president; and4 WHEREAS, under his leadership as president, the HBAG has continued to create, promote,5 and protect a thriving environment for affordable housing while encouraging integrity and6 community engagement among its members; and7 WHEREAS, with 43 years of experience in the construction industry, he further serves as the8 owner and founder of Franklin Bailey Construction LLC; and9 WHEREAS, Franklin Bailey has earned many accolades within the h ome building10 community, including the 2018 HBASG Lifetime Hall of Famer Awar d and the 201011 HBASG Presidential Choice Award, and he is the only builder in the organization's history12 to be honored four times as the HBASG Builder Member of the Year; and13 H. R. 630 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3380 WHEREAS, he has additionally been involved in numerous civic an d professional14 organizations, including as a past board member of the Georgia Bible Camp Organization15 and past director of the Valdosta Touchdown Club; and16 WHEREAS, outside of his professional accomplishments, Franklin Bailey is a devoted17 husband to his wife, Sabrina; a loving father to his two sons, Jarod and Travis; and a proud18 grandfather; and19 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high20 ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom21 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved22 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and23 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this24 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately honored.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body recognize and commend Franklin Bailey for his many invaluable27 contributions to both the home building industry and his community as well as extend best28 wishes for continued success.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to31 Franklin Bailey.32 H.
