25 LC 112 3220 Senate Resolution 417 By: Senator Still of the 48th A RESOLUTION Recognizing March 3, 2025, as Dutch Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia holds immense esteem for its rich cultural diversity and the2 vibrant contributions made by the Dutch community; and3 WHEREAS, the Dutch community has played a significant role in the cultural, social, and4 economic development of our great state; and5 WHEREAS, Dutch Day at the state capitol serves as an opportunity to celebrate the heritage,6 traditions, and contributions of the Dutch in Georgia; and7 WHEREAS, this event fosters cultural understanding and unity am ong all Georgians,8 promoting respect and appreciation for the diverse backgrounds that enrich our state's fabric;9 and10 WHEREAS, the celebration of Dutch Day encourages community engagement, education,11 and the sharing of cultural practices that enhance the lives of all citizens; and12 S. R. 417 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3220 WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to recognize this day and the contributions of the Dutch13 community to our state.14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body15 recognize March 3, 2025, as Dutch Day at the state capitol and encourage all citizens to16 engage in activities that celebrate and honor the Dutch heritage within our state.17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed18 to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the19 press.20 S.
