25 LC 112 3382 House Resolution 618 By: Representatives Schofield of the 63rd, Scott of the 76th, Carter of the 93rd, Burnough of the 77th, and Davis of the 87th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Keysha J. Porter for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki1 T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Women's Legislative Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Keysha J. Porter has built an exceptional career spann ing more than two10 decades in human resources and communications, contributing her expertise across the11 healthcare, technology, banking, and government sectors; and12 WHEREAS, she began her professional journey in the banking industry, refining her skills13 in HR technology and risk management before transitioning to roles as a federal contractor14 H. R. 618 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3382 supporting the United States Navy, United States Marines, and t he federal departments of15 Energy, Defense, and Health and Human Services; and16 WHEREAS, she continued her impact ful career by advancing leader ship development17 initiatives in the nonprofit sector, serving as the learning & development manager for (RED)18 in New York City and The ONE Campaign in Washington, D.C.; and19 WHEREAS, upon returning to her hometown of Atlanta, she took on her current role at20 Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where she is responsible for designing and implementing21 educational initiatives that enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals; and22 WHEREAS, deeply committed to civic engagement, Keysha J. Porter has further facilitated23 financial literacy education for students in Junior Achievement of Atlanta, providing24 mentorship programs for students in Atlanta Public Schools and the Coretta Scott King25 Young Women's Leadership Academy; and26 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this27 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that29 the members of this body congratulate and commend Keysha J. Porter for receiving the 202530 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award and exten d best wishes for her31 continued success.32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized33 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to34 Keysha J.
