25 LC 112 3465 House Resolution 679 By: Representative Jones of the 47th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Wesley Nichols; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the 2025 Legislative Session marks Wesley Nichols' 25th year as a dedicated2 member of the Capitol Press Corps, where he has played a vital role in documenting3 Georgia's legislative process; and4 WHEREAS, he serves as the lead capitol photographer for Georgia Public Broadcasting's5 Lawmakers, helping to provide comprehensive coverage of legislative proc eedings and6 informing countless viewers about the formation of laws in Georgia; and7 WHEREAS, over the past two and a half decades, Wesley Nichols has conducted exclusive8 interviews, covered press conferences, captured historic moment s, and built lasting9 relationships with legislators and members of the state capitol community; and10 WHEREAS, his commitment to journalistic excellence and visual s torytelling has made a11 profound impact on the public's understanding of state government, ensuring transparency12 and accessibility in legislative reporting; and13 H. R. 679 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3465 WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for14 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and15 WHEREAS, Wesley Nichols has served with honor and distinction a s part of the Capitol16 Press Corps, and his vision and unyielding commitment to excellence in reporting have set17 the standard for exemplary service; and18 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this19 remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body recognize and commend Wesley Nichols f or his 25 years of22 effective, efficient, and dedicated service to the Capitol Pres s Corps and extend the most23 sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized25 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to26 Wesley Nichols.27 H.
