25 LC 112 3423 Senate Resolution 440 By: Senators Halpern of the 39th, Jones II of the 22nd, Mallow of the 2nd, Orrock of the 36th, Davenport of the 17th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Tricia Gephardt; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Tricia Gephardt has demonstrated an unwavering commitm ent to service,2 leadership, and community engagement through her extensive volu nteer work and3 professional experience; and4 WHEREAS, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in government from George town University,5 where she cultivated a deep understanding of public service and civic responsibility; and6 WHEREAS, Tricia began her career in public service by working o n Capitol Hill in7 Washington, D.C., for the House Majority Leader, gaining invalu able experience in8 government operations and legislative affairs; and9 WHEREAS, she has further contributed to the democratic process by lending her talents to10 state and local political campaigns in Georgia, helping to fost er civic engagement and11 informed participation in the electoral process; and12 S. R. 440 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3423 WHEREAS, as a dedicated stay-at-home mother, she has continued to lead and serve,13 demonstrating the profound impact of volunteerism on the streng th and well-being of our14 communities; and15 WHEREAS, Tricia has made significant contributions to education and youth development,16 serving as the Parents' Association president at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School and as an17 advisory council member for Horizons Atlanta, where she worked to enhance educational18 opportunities for children, in addition to her longtime commitm ent to supporting the19 nonprofit CURE, which is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer; and20 WHEREAS, her commitment to civic engagement led her to found The Postcard Project, a21 grassroots initiative designed to foster meaningful dialogue, increase voter participation, and22 encourage community involvement; and23 WHEREAS, Tricia's tireless efforts exemplify the highest ideals of service and civic24 leadership, inspiring others to take an active role in strengthening their communities.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body26 recognize and commend Tricia Gephardt for her dedication to public service, her leadership27 in education and community engagement, and her enduring contrib utions to the State of28 Georgia.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed30 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Tricia Gephardt.31 S.
