A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Historic Norcross Business Assoc iation; and for other1
purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Historic Norcross Business Association (HNBA), a 501(c)(3) organization,3
was formally established in March 2019 and has since become a p ivotal force in fostering4
the prosperity and growth of Norcross' Historic District by amplifying the collective voice5
of local businesses; and6
WHEREAS, the HNBA represents the common business interests of t he Historic District,7
which is composed of local, family-owned businesses that preserve and build upon the city's8
rich history, ensuring the district's cultural and economic vitality; and9
WHEREAS, the HNBA actively engages with the Norcross City Counc il, the Downtown10
Development Authority, and city officials to promote collaborat ion and strategic11
development efforts that support the district's continued success; and12
WHEREAS, the HNBA is dedicated to strengthening the community b y organizing and13
hosting numerous free, family-friendly events throughout the ye ar, including Irish Fest,14
Witches Night Out, and the Victorian Christmas Village; and15

WHEREAS, recognizing the importance of a unified and strategic online presence, the16
HNBA has branded itself as "The Heart of Norcross," creating an online hub through17
theheartofnorcross.com and social media platforms to promote lo cal businesses and18
community events; and19
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le association be20
appropriately honored during this special time.21
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22
the members of this body recognize and commend the Historic Nor cross Business23
Association for its outstanding contributions to the Historic D istrict of Norcross, its24
dedication to business advocacy, and its unwavering commitment to community engagement25
as well as extend best wishes for continued success.26
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the28
Historic Norcross Business Association.29
