HB840: HB840 Pickens County Airport Authority; repeal Act

25 LC 62 0132/AP House Bill 840 (AS PASSED HOUSE AND SENATE) By: Representative Jasperse of the 11th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To repeal an Act creating the Pickens County Airport Authority, approved April 19, 20061 (Ga. L. 2006, p. 3645), as amended; to provide for the assets and liabilities thereof; to repeal2 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:4 SECTION 1.5 An Act creating the Pickens County Airport Authority, approved April 19, 2006 (Ga. L.6 2006, p. 3645), as amended, is hereby repealed in its entirety.7 SECTION 2.8 Any and all assets of the Pickens County Airport Authority shall devolve automatically and9 without further action to Pickens County, Georgia. The Board of Commissioners of Pickens10 County, Georgia, is authorized to execute any deeds or instruments of conveyance required11 to place title of such assets into the name of Pickens County and is authorized to do so in the12 name of the Pickens County Airport Authority. The obligations of the Pickens County13 Airport Authority shall be transferred to and assumed by Pickens County, Georgia, by such14 instruments as may be required to maintain the same. The Board of Commissioners of15 H. B. 840 - 1 - 25 LC 62 0132/AP Pickens County, Georgia, is authorized to execute any such instruments required to transfer16 such obligations into the name of Pickens County and is authorized to do so in the name of17 the Pickens County Airport Authority.18 SECTION 3.19 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.20 H.
