25 LC 112 3370 House Resolution 793 By: Representative Au of the 50th A RESOLUTION Recognizing February 9-15, 2025, as National FBLA Week; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America Inc. (FBLA) is a no nprofit educational2 organization whose first chapter was established in Johnson City, Tennessee, in 1942; and3 WHEREAS, Iowa became FBLA's first state chapter in 1947; and4 WHEREAS, Johns Creek High School officially chartered its FBLA local chapter on August5 28, 2009; and6 WHEREAS, FBLA includes more than 250,000 members and advisers i n 4,600 chapters7 nationwide in middle schools, high schools, colleges, universit ies, career and technical8 schools, and private business schools; and9 WHEREAS, FBLA is a professional business organization dedicated to bringing business10 and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and11 career development programs; and12 H. R. 793 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3370 WHEREAS, FBLA members perform community service activities and strive to build13 students' understanding of the realities of the modern business world; and14 WHEREAS, FBLA teaches middle school, high school, and college students basic business15 and leadership principles and assists them in the transition from school to work.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body recognize February 9-15, 2025, as National FBLA Week.18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized19 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the20 public and the press.21 H.
