A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Gary Everett Earl; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2
with the passing of Gary Everett Earl on March 23, 2025; and3
WHEREAS, Gary Everett Earl was born on January 4, 1963, in Hart ford, Connecticut, a4
beloved son of Roy and Clote Earl, and he was raised and educated in Columbus, Georgia;5
and6
WHEREAS, he dedicated 30 years of his professional life to TSYS , where he earned the7
respect and admiration of his colleagues through his hard work, integrity, and generosity of8
spirit; and9
WHEREAS, Gary Everett Earl served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with10
the United States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans; and11
WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Gary Everett Earl was an active member of12
The Edge Church in Columbus; and13

WHEREAS, he was blessed with three remarkable children, Giovan, Jalen, and Brianna, as14
well as one wonderful granddaughter, Harleigh; and15
WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern16
for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his17
family and friends were admired by others; and18
WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation19
for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he20
made this world a better place in which to live; and21
WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Gary Everett Earl will long be remembered22
for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great23
fortune of knowing him.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory o f Gary Everett Earl and26
express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the29
family of Gary Everett Earl.30
