25 LC 62 0082/AP House Bill 869 (AS PASSED HOUSE AND SENATE) By: Representatives Gambill of the 15th and Scoggins of the 14th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend an Act creating and establishing a joint airport autho r i t y f o r t h e C i t y o f1 Cartersville and Bartow County, Georgia, approved February 28, 19662 (Ga. L. 1966, p. 2270), so as to provide for the legislative de legation of Bartow County to3 appoint a member; to provide for related matters; to repeal con flicting laws; and for other4 purposes.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6 SECTION 1.7 An Act creating and establishing a joint airport authority for the City of Cartersville and8 Bartow County, Georgia, approved February 28, 1966 (Ga. L. 1966 , p. 2270), is amended9 by revising Section 2 as follows:10 "Section 2. Such authority shall be composed of three members, one of whom shall be11 appointed by the board of aldermen of the City of Cartersville in the same manner as in the12 appointment of the chief of police, and one member shall be app ointed by the13 commissioner of roads and revenues for Bartow County, Georgia. One member shall be14 appointed by the local delegation consisting of all members of the General Assembly15 H. The authority so constituted16 shall annually elect its chairperson from its number."17 SECTION 2.18 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.19 H. B. 869 - 2 -
