25 LC 112 3526 Senate Resolution 479 By: Senators Orrock of the 36th, Parent of the 44th, Jones II of the 22nd, Jackson of the 41st, Wicks of the 34th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Atlanta Postal Credit Union upon its 100th anniversary; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, this year, Atlanta Postal Credit Union (APCU) will celebrate the grand occasion3 of its 100th anniversary, representing a century of dedicated service to postal workers, their4 families, and the broader community; and5 WHEREAS, founded in 1925, APCU holds the distinction of being t he first credit union6 chartered in the State of Georgia, laying the foundation for a long-standing legacy of7 financial inclusion and empowerment; and8 WHEREAS, over the course of 100 years, APCU has grown from its modest beginnings into9 one of Georgia's most respected and impactful financial institutions, remaining committed10 to the credit union mission of People Helping People; and11 WHEREAS, APCU has consistently provided exceptional financial products and services,12 helping its members achieve financial goals, plan for their futures, and support their families13 across generations; and14 S. R. 479 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3526 WHEREAS, through its unwavering dedication to innovation, APCU has adapted to the15 changing needs of its members by embracing technological advancements while maintaining16 a strong tradition of personalized service; and17 WHEREAS, deeply rooted in community values, APCU has demonstrated outstanding civic18 leadership by supporting charitable causes, promoting financial literacy, and investing in the19 well-being of the communities it serves; and20 WHEREAS, this centennial milestone reflects APCU's lasting impa ct on the financial21 well-being of individuals and families throughout Georgia and b eyond as well as its22 continued role as a pillar of trust, service, and stability.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body24 recognize and commend Atlanta Postal Credit Union upon its 100th anniversary and extend25 best wishes for continued success.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed27 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Atlanta Postal28 Credit Union.29 S.
