A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the AgriTech Solutions Program in Clayton County Pu blic Schools; and for1
other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the AgriTech Solutions Program in Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS)will3
play vital role in preparing the next generation of agriculturists to develop sustainable and4
profitable local food systems; and 5
WHEREAS, the Office of STEM and Innovation at CCPS is dedicated to promoting6
excellence in STEM education and fostering innovative learning environments; and7
WHEREAS, the office has effectively supported the STEM certification process for schools8
within the district, resulting in 11 STEM Certified schools and the enhancement of STEM9
and Computer Science programs across more than 28 schools, incl uding over 13 K-510
computer science labs; and11
WHEREAS, the Office of STEM and Innovation has actively support ed agricultural12
initiatives, including hydroponics, aeroponics, and traditional gardening, thus broadening13
student understanding and engagement in sustainable agricultural practices; and14

WHEREAS, these agricultural programs not only provide practical skills but also introduce15
students to a range of career opportunities within the agricult ural sector, emphasizing the16
importance of sustainability and innovation; and17
WHEREAS, the office has been instrumental in forging and sustaining partnerships between18
schools, industry leaders, and institutions of higher education , thereby enriching the19
educational landscape with opportunities for practical application and career readiness; and 20
WHEREAS, Mundy's Mill High School students engage in the Agrite ens Club using the21
Next Steps Youth Entrepreneurship Program's game-based curricul um called Community22
On-Demand; and23
WHEREAS, through project-based initiatives, students develop hands-on agricultural skills,24
explore sustainable farming practices and gain the business acumen needed to pursue careers25
in agribusiness, agritech and agritourism; and 26
WHEREAS, through strong partnerships with industry and higher education, CCPS provides27
real-world learning experiences that promote career readiness leadership in sustainability and28
economic innovation; and 29
WHEREAS, Georgia Women in Agriculture Association has recognized CCPS' impact on30
STEM in Agriculture, thereby combining their invaluable support and continued31
collaboration to shape future leaders in the field.32
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that33
the members of this body recognize the AgriTech Solutions Progr am in Clayton County34
Public Schools for the outstanding positive impact it has made on the students of Georgia.35

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized36
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to37
Clayton County Public Schools.38
