25 LC 129 0405 House Resolution 807 By: Representatives Carter of the 93rd, Bennett of the 94th, and Stinson of the 150th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Tamika Scott; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, March is celebrated as Women's History Month, a time to honor and recognize2 the invaluable contributions of women throughout history and ac ross all fields and trades;3 and4 WHEREAS, Tamika Scott's contributions to the community reflect the core values of5 Women's History Month; and6 WHEREAS, Tamika is a dedicated and passionate public service professional with 18 years7 of progressive experience in the non-profit sector, who serves and advocates for8 municipalities across Georgia; and9 WHEREAS, a long-time resident of Dekalb County, Tamika has a de ep commitment to10 community engagement, empowerment, and leadership; and11 WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,12 talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced13 dramatically by her superlative service with the Parent-Teacher -Student Association,14 H. R. 807 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0405 Fairfield Baptist Church, and the Lithonia Community Dekalb Cou nty Democratic15 Committee; and16 WHEREAS, she looks forward to using her knowledge and skills to champion for Dekalb17 County Democratic Party by encouraging and reminding voters to “advocate, with your18 vote”; and19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng contributions of this20 remarkable woman are recognized during Women's History Month.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body recognize and commend Tamika Scott for her unwavering23 dedication to service and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and24 success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to27 Tamika Scott.28 H.
