25 LC 112 3416 House Resolution 800 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Willis of the 55th, Cannon of the 58th, Berry of the 56th, McQueen of the 61st, and others A RESOLUTION Commending Brian Butler for recognizing the outstanding contributions of Brandon Butler,1 Jah Rawlings, Tory Edwards, Ian Ford, Bem Joiner, William Sparks, and Shelly McAllister2 in organizing 404 Weekend and acknowledging their collective re presentation of3 Butter.ATL, Atlanta Influences Everything, Finish First, and Th e Trap Museum; and for4 other purposes.5 WHEREAS, 404 Weekend stands as a premier event that honors the legacy, creativity, and6 entrepreneurial spirit of Atlanta and the greater metropolitan area encompassing Fulton,7 Clayton, and DeKalb counties; and8 WHEREAS, through their leadership and collaboration, Brandon Butler, Jah Rawlings, Tory9 Edwards, Ian Ford, Bem Joiner, William Sparks, and Shelly McAll ister have successfully10 curated a transformative experience that showcases Atlanta's pr ofound impact on music,11 business, fashion, art, and social movements; and12 WHEREAS, 404 Weekend's signature events, including the 404 Day Scholarship Gala,13 Block Party, and Parade, serve as a testament to the city's dynamic energy and unwavering14 commitment to fostering community pride, economic growth, and cultural appreciation; and15 H. R. 800 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3416 WHEREAS, this weekend-long celebration fosters unity among loca l businesses, artists,16 civic leaders, and residents, reinforcing Atlanta's reputation as a global cultural powerhouse;17 and18 WHEREAS, by recognizing and commending these visionaries and th eir respective19 organizations, this body uplifts the importance of innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration20 in driving Atlanta's continued success.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body commend Brian Butler for his leadershi p in honoring the23 significant work of Brandon Butler, Jah Rawlings, Tory Edwards, Ian Ford, Bem Joiner,24 William Sparks, and Shelly McAllister in organizing 404 Weekend as well as recognize their25 extraordinary contributions to the cultural, social, and econom ic vibrancy of Atlanta and26 beyond.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the29 honorees named herein, the public, and the press.30 H.
