25 LC 112 3536 House Resolution 760 By: Representative Burns of the 159th A RESOLUTION Commending the House interns for the 2025 regular session of th e General Assembly of1 Georgia; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Georgia Legislative Internship Program is one of t he nation's oldest3 educational internships to focus on the state legislative process; and4 WHEREAS, the internship program is a cooperative venture between the General Assembly5 of Georgia and institutions of higher learning in Georgia, and it provides a select group of6 students with in-depth exposure to the House of Representatives and the Senate by assigning7 them positions with key standing committees and legislative leaders; and8 WHEREAS, the students selected for the House Legislative Intern ship Program represent9 some of the best and the brightest college students in this state who share a genuine interest10 in the law making process and a potential commitment to public service; and11 WHEREAS, participants in this outstanding program are students from the University of12 Georgia, Clayton State University, University of North Georgia, Georgia State University,13 Georgia Southern University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Gwinnett College,14 H. R. 760 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3536 University of West Georgia, Kennesaw State University, Toccoa Falls College, and College15 of Coastal Georgia; and16 WHEREAS, the unique experience of participating as a House inte rn has undoubtedly17 enriched the academic study these college students have completed; and18 WHEREAS, the members of the standing committees and the legislative leaders who greatly19 benefit from the service of these interns salute each of these students on a job well done:20 Wally Stover, Butler Matthews, Christopher Hale, Loren Lyles, W il Crawford, Daniel21 Alexander, Francis Millen, Kyleigh Cook, Zahrya Grimes, Elisa H einzelmann, Noah22 Rainwater, Jaeda Ray, Jaslin Stanley, Luke Starling, Graham Ste wart, Diamond Brooks,23 Zayne Dabbas, Dan Ngo, Elizabeth Giron-Hernandez, Ryan Bodell, Christian Villarreal, Sam24 Byers, Isaiah Campbell, Kiara Johnson, Bethany Jones, Anna Step hen, Brenton Sykes,25 Kristen Tran, Gyimah Andrew, Hannah Creedon, Terrence Fernanders, Amarachi Nnabue,26 and Austin Gilbert.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body commend the House interns for the 2025 regular session of the29 General Assembly of Georgia on their superb performance and extend the most sincere best30 wishes for success in their future pursuits.31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to each33 of the interns named herein.34 H.
