25 LC 129 0397 House Resolution 801 By: Representatives Cannon of the 58th, Scott of the 76th, Kendrick of the 95th, and Neal of the 79th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Ebonee Gresham; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Dr. Ebonee Gresham has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for2 the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep p ersonal commitment to the3 welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, graciously known as Dr. Ebonee Empowers, Dr. Ebonee is a Doctor of Nursing5 Practice; and6 WHEREAS, she is the CEO and founder of Dr. Ebonee Empowers, LLC , and Promise7 Health Medical Institute, a post-secondary medical school in De catur, GA, as well as8 Co-owner of HealthCare Academy; and9 WHEREAS, she is the author of the Amazon best seller, The Grit, The Grind and The Glory,10 and co-author of Gracefully Broken-Heavenly Restored, she is also a Global Empowerment11 Keynote Speaker and mentor to many; and12 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high13 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom14 H. R. 801 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0397 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved15 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and16 WHEREAS,Her passionate response and advocacy for issues such as domestic violence,17 single motherhood, mental health of black women, and women empo werment has been18 featured on several media outlets and print publications such as SHEEN magazine, IMPACT19 magazine, CDC, NurseDeck, VoyageATL, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, NBC Nightly20 News, and the SisAundra television show; and21 WHEREAS, in 2023, Dr. Ebonee was awarded the Presidential Lifet ime Achievement22 Award from President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris f o r h e r y e a r s o f23 continued service, commitment, advocacy, leadership, and philanthropy in her community;24 and 25 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for26 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and27 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this28 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that30 the members of this body recognize and commend the extraordinar y achievements of Dr.31 Ebonee Gresham and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health and happiness. 32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized33 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.34 Ebonee Gresham.35 H.
