25 LC 112 3320 House Resolution 827 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Jones of the 47th, Cox of the 28th, Hilton of the 48th, Reeves of the 99th, and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the FCS Innovation Academy Splatoon 3 Team for winning the Spring 20241 GHSA Esports State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the FCS Innovation Academy Splatoon 3 Team has established and maintained3 a proud tradition of excellence, demonstrating outstanding skil l, strategic thinking, and4 perseverance in the realm of competitive esports; and5 WHEREAS, this exceptional team completed an undefeated season i n Spring 2024,6 culminating in their victory at the GHSA Esports State Championship held in person at the7 University of West Georgia; and8 WHEREAS, the team further showcased their skill by winning the Summer 2024 PlayVs9 National Championship Tournament, an achievement that not only brought them national10 recognition but also provided each player with over $1,000 in s cholarship funds for their11 future educational pursuits; and12 WHEREAS, Splatoon 3 is a fast-paced, team-based esports title t hat requires exceptional13 coordination, adaptability, and strategic execution, all of which the FCS Innovation Academy14 team has mastered to achieve their numerous victories; and15 H. R. 827 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3320 WHEREAS, under the astute leadership of Head Coach Zabby Heying , the team has16 consistently demonstrated the highest standards of competitive excellence, dedicating17 themselves to weekly training, strategic development, and a dee p understanding of game18 mechanics to remain at the forefront of the competition; and19 WHEREAS, this outstanding team has brought great honor to FCS Innovation Academy and20 the surrounding community through their impressive achievements, setting a high standard21 for future competitors and inspiring their peers in the field of esports; and22 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by23 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is24 abundantly proper to call them champions.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body congratulate the FCS Innovation Academy Splatoon 3 Team for27 winning the Spring 2024 GHSA Esports State Championship and extend best wishes for their28 continued success.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31 FCS Innovation Academy Splatoon 3 Team.32 H.
