25 LC 129 0469 House Resolution 893 By: Representatives Scott of the 76th, Schofield of the 63rd, and Davis of the 87th A RESOLUTION Commending Aretha Sharice Hopkins, Toney Elementary School's 2024-2025 Teacher of1 the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young3 people, and Aretha Sharice Hopkins exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic4 of our finest teachers; and5 WHEREAS, Aretha Sharice Hopkins is a highly praised educator at Toney Elementary6 School in Decatur, Georgia, tirelessly directing an extraordinary amount of time and talent7 toward guiding students to a brighter future; and8 WHEREAS, Aretha Sharice Hopkins has earned distinction and nume rous awards for9 teaching excellence as a result of her dedication to her students and her profession and has10 been honored as Toney Elementary School's 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year; and11 WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare12 of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the13 extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.14 H.
