25 LC 112 3332 Senate Resolution 541 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th, Davenport of the 17th, Parent of the 44th, Anderson of the 43rd, Kemp of the 38th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Sheriff's Klean Initiative Program (S.K.I.P.) Unit; and for1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Klean Initiative Program (S.K.I.P.) Unit is a specialized division3 within the Clayton County Sheriff's Office responsible for managing inmate work details that4 focus on community beautification and maintenance projects; and5 WHEREAS, the S.K.I.P. Unit provides non-violent offenders with opportunities for6 rehabilitation and skill-building by engaging them in tasks suc h as trash collection,7 landscaping, minor repairs, and facility upkeep throughout Clayton County; and8 WHEREAS, the program enhances public spaces and fosters a sense of responsibility among9 participants while contributing to the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the county; and10 WHEREAS, the commitment of the S.K.I.P. Unit to both community improvement and11 offender rehabilitation exemplifies the positive impact of structured reintegration programs12 within the criminal justice system; and13 S. R. 541 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3332 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplar y unit be appropriately14 honored during this special time.15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body16 recognize and commend the Sheriff's Klean Initiative Program (S .K.I.P.) Unit for its17 invaluable contributions to Clayton County and its dedication t o rehabilitation and public18 service as well as extend best wishes for continued success.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed20 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to the Clayton21 County Sheriff's Office.22 S.
