25 LC 112 3303 House Resolution 949 By: Representatives Gambill of the 15th, Chastain of the 7th, Kelley of the 16th, Richardson of the 125th, Cameron of the 1st, and others A RESOLUTION Commending President Donald Trump and Elon Musk on the creation of the Department of1 Government Efficiency; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the United States of America has long been a beacon of innovation, leadership,3 and progress, striving to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of its government to better4 serve its citizens; and5 WHEREAS, the creation of the Department of Government Efficienc y represents a6 forward-thinking approach to streamlining federal operations, reducing waste, and increasing7 productivity across governmental departments and agencies; and8 WHEREAS, President Donald Trump, in his commitment to improving government9 operations and reducing bureaucratic inefficiencies, demonstrated unwavering leadership in10 initiating efforts aimed at re-imagining how the government fun ctions and serves the11 American people; and12 WHEREAS, Elon Musk, a renowned entrepreneur and visionary with vast experience in13 innovation, technology, and management, brought invaluable expe rtise to the endeavor,14 H. R. 949 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3303 contributing insights on cutting-edge technologies and data-dri ven solutions that are15 transforming industries across the world; and16 WHEREAS, the creation of this department marks a significant step forward in modernizing17 the federal government and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used as effectively as possible,18 addressing longstanding inefficiencies while enhancing transparency and accountability; and19 WHEREAS, the collaboration between President Trump and Elon Mus k exemplifies the20 power of public-private partner ships in driving change and fost ering innovation for the21 benefit of the American people.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body commend President Donald Trump and Elon Musk for their vision,24 leadership, and dedication to improving the efficiency and effe ctiveness of the federal25 government through the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body express th eir support for27 continued efforts to streamline government functions, eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy,28 and leverage technological advancements to better serve the American public.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body encourage further30 collaboration between the public and private sectors in the pur suit of a more efficient and31 responsive government that meets the evolving needs of all citizens.32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized33 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the34 public and the press.35 H.
