25 LC 112 3611 House Resolution 950 By: Representatives Kelley of the 16th and Smith of the 18th A RESOLUTION Recognizing May 2025 as Foster Parent Appreciation Month; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, foster parents in our community provide safe, loving, and nurturing homes for2 children in need, offering them a second chance at a brighter future; and3 WHEREAS, the selfless dedication and unwavering commitment of foster parents make a4 profound difference in the lives of children, providing them with stability, support, and the5 opportunity to thrive; and6 WHEREAS, foster parents often face significant challenges and demands, yet they continue7 to open their hearts and homes to children in need, demonstrati ng remarkable compassion8 and resilience; and9 WHEREAS, we recognize the importance of supporting foster famil ies and ensuring that10 they have the resources and assistance they need to succeed in their crucial role.11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 the members of this body recognize May 2025 as Foster Parent Ap preciation Month and13 H. R. 950 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3611 express their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the invalu able contributions made by14 foster parents.15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the17 public and the press.18 H.
