A RESOLUTION
Commending Shayna Harris, South Paulding High School's 2025 Teacher of the Year; and1
for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3
important objective of the General Assembly; and4
WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young5
people, and Shayna Harris exemplifies the selfless dedication t hat is characteristic of our6
finest teachers; and7
WHEREAS, Shayna Harris is a highly praised English teacher at S outh Paulding High8
School, where she devotes her time and talents to guiding stude nts to a brighter future9
through subjects such as American Literature and Composition; Dramatic Writing for Film,10
Television, and Stage; and Mythology; and11
WHEREAS, she has earned distinction for teaching excellence as a result of her dedication12
to her students and her profession and has been honored as Sout h Paulding High School's13
2025 Teacher of the Year; and14

WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare15
of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the16
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.17
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18
the members of this body commend Shayna Harris, South Paulding High School's 202519
Teacher of the Year, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22
Shayna Harris.23
