25 LC 112 3644 House Resolution 979 By: Representatives Lumsden of the 12th and Dempsey of the 13th A RESOLUTION Commending Roy Mitchell, Coosa High School's 2025 STAR Teacher; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3 important objective of the General Assembly; and4 WHEREAS, Roy Mitchell has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital5 role that he has played in the teaching profession and his deep personal commitment to the6 education of the students of Georgia; and7 WHEREAS, Roy Mitchell has earned distinction for teaching excel lence and has been8 honored as Coosa High School's 2025 STAR Teacher; and9 WHEREAS, in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people10 in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this bod y to honor the extraordinary11 accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.12 H. R. 979 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3644 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that13 the members of this body commend Roy Mitchell, Coosa High Schoo l's 2025 STAR14 Teacher, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Roy17 Mitchell.18 H.
