A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

To provide for the compensation of the City of Valdosta Board of Education; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

The chairperson of the City of Valdosta Board of Education shall be compensated in the amount of $650.00 per month. The other members of the City of Valdosta Board of Education shall be compensated in the amount of $600.00 per month. The compensation of the chairperson and other members of the board shall be paid only from the local tax funds.

SECTION 2.

This Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such approval.

SECTION 3.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
