Not legal advice. version: Sen Floor Amend 2 AM 61 0016 version_id: amendment:2025-2026/hb127/239036@239036 --- # Sen Floor Amend 2 AM 61 0016 to HB 127 OUT OF ORDER Senator McLaurin of the 14th offered the following amendment #2: Amend the Senate Committee on Education and Youth substitute to HB 127 (LC 61 0259S) by inserting after line 48 the following: (b.1) Nothing in subsection (b) of this Code section shall be construed to prohibit a local education agency or postsecondary institution from promoting as an official position that: (1) Evolutionary biology is a scientific fact; (2) Slavery was the primary or major contributing cause of the American Civil War; or (3) The Holocaust occurred.
