The House Committee on Judiciary, Juvenile offers the following substitute to HB 1445: A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Part 12 of Article 6 of Chapter 11 of Title 15 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to disposition of delinquency in the juvenile code, so as to authorize sharing of electronic monitoring with law enforcement agencies, local school systems, and public schools; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: SECTION 1. Part 12 of Article 6 of Chapter 11 of Title 15 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to disposition of delinquency in the juvenile code, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows: "15-11-605.1. Upon request by any state or local law enforcement agency or local school system or other public school, the DJJ shall share the names of children on electronic monitoring, as such term is defined in Code Section 42-3-111, and provide notifications of any violations and deactivations with such law enforcement agencies or local school systems or other public schools upon verification that such child is physically located within the respective jurisdiction of the applicable law enforcement agency, local school system, or public school." SECTION 2. All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
