ADOPTED Representative Silcox of the 53rd offers the following amendment: Amend the substitute to HB 297 (HB 297/SCSFA) by replacing line 13 with the following: reports; to extend the sunset for authority of local governing bodies to collect a retail sales and use tax for purposes of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority; to revise provisions relative to the multicounty transportation special purpose local By inserting between lines 766 and 767 the following: Said title is further amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows: "32-9-13.1. Notwithstanding any provision of Section 25 of the MARTA Act to the contrary, the retail sales and use tax levied pursuant to the authority granted by the MARTA Act shall be levied until and including June 30, 2067."
