House Resolution 1016 By: Representatives Greene of the 154th, Camp of the 135th, Mathiak of the 82nd, Hawkins of the 27th, and Townsend of the 179th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the executive director, staff, and members of the Golden Triangle Resource Conservation and Development Council; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the Golden Triangle Resource Conservation and Development Council (RC&D) has long served as a vital driver of community development, natural resource stewardship, and economic growth within the southwest region of Georgia; and WHEREAS, Rhonda Gordon, executive director of the Golden Triangle RC&D has demonstrated exemplary leadership, commitment, and vision in advancing the council's mission to improve the quality of life for citizens through conservation, education, and community-focused initiatives; and WHEREAS, under Rhonda Gordon's guidance, the Golden Triangle RC&D has successfully expanded programs that support agricultural sustainability, rural infrastructure, environmental conservation, workforce development, and small-business growth; and WHEREAS, the Golden Triangle RC&D staff have fostered strong partnerships among local governments, state and federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, private stakeholders, and community leaders, ensuring the continued advancement of regional priorities and the effective stewardship of public resources; and WHEREAS, the dedication, professionalism, and tireless service of the Golden Triangle RC&D organization has strengthened the southwest Georgia region and contributed meaningfully to its economic vitality and long-term resilience; and WHEREAS, it is fitting to recognize the outstanding individuals and organizations whose work has left a lasting, positive impact on the citizens and communities they serve. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend and express their profound appreciation to Rhonda Gordon, staff, and members of the Golden Triangle RC&D for distinguished service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving the region as well as extend best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Golden Triangle Resource Conservation and Development Council.
