A RESOLUTION

Honoring the life of Reba Highsmith Crews; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Reba Highsmith Crews lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, integrity, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community; and most importantly to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Crews dedicated at least 50 years of Service to the Brantley County Tax Commissioners office and to the citizens of Brantley County; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Crews faithfully served four separate Tax Commissioners, C.L. King, Lorena Strickland, Lorna Thomas, and Current Tax Commissioner Pat Tompkins; and

WHEREAS, through her steadfast character and commitment to uplifting others, Reba became a source of strength, encouragement, and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her; and

WHEREAS, her contributions-both seen and unseen-helped shape the lives around her with kindness, wisdom, and a gentle spirit that remained constant throughout her journey; and

WHEREAS, her legacy will continue to shine through the countless acts of love she extended, the values she instilled, and the memories she leaves behind; and

WHEREAS, her memory will endure in the hearts of those she touched, and her example of strength, grace, and compassion shall continue to guide and inspire future generations.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body honor and celebrate the life of Reba Highsmith Crews, recognizing her lasting impact and expressing our profound gratitude for the light she brought into the world.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Reba Highsmith Crews.
