House Resolution 1038 By: Representatives Lupton of the 83rd and Roberts of the 52nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing HealthMPowers for 25 years of service and leadership in advancing youth health; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, HealthMPowers has served the State of Georgia for twenty-five years, championing access to health and nutrition for children and families; and WHEREAS, the organization has demonstrated unwavering commitment to improving health outcomes through evidence-based programs, school partnerships, and community engagement in nearly every school district across Georgia; and WHEREAS, HealthMPowers has prioritized the voices of young people, recognizing that youth leadership is essential to shaping sustainable solutions for a healthier future; and WHEREAS, through initiatives such as youth advisory boards, advocacy training, and leadership development, HealthMPowers empowers young people to become catalysts for change in their schools and communities; and WHEREAS, HealthMPowers has remained steadfast in its mission, adapting to evolving needs and continuing to create value and impact across Georgia while upholding the vision of founders Andy Isakson, brother of the late Senator Johnny Isakson, and Mary Johnson. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend HealthMPowers for 25 years of service, innovation, and leadership in advancing health equity and fostering youth leadership, and recognize the organization's future-forward vision to build the leadership capacity of young people as a cornerstone of a healthier Georgia for generations to come. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to HealthMPowers.
