A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Hebron Christian Academy football team for winning the 2024 GHSA
Class Private A-3A State Football Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Hebron Christian Academy football team has established and maintained
a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and
WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed a triumphant season of football competition
by posting an outstanding record of 12 wins and only two losses; and
WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team
a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable
2024 campaign, the team captured its first state football championship; and
WHEREAS, the team brought special recognition to its school by winning the 2024 GHSA
Class Private A-3A State Football Championship against Prince Avenue Christian School
with a final score of 56-28; and
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the
team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach
Jonathan Gess; and
WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by
performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is
abundantly proper to call them champions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body congratulate the Hebron Christian Academy football team for
winning the 2024 GHSA Class Private A-3A State Football Championship and extend best
wishes for their continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
Hebron Christian Academy football team.
