A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. and First Lady Tammy
Stallion of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church upon ten years of service; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. has demonstrated his commitment to
teaching the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,
psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and
WHEREAS, First Lady Tammy Stallion faithfully supports the congregation by teaching
Sunday school as well as working in administration and new member orientation,
demonstrating that ministry is truly is a shared endeavor; and
WHEREAS, at the 10th Year Anniversary Gala, on January 16, 2026, Reverend Dr. David
L. Stallion Sr. will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his call to serve as pastor of Mount
Pilgrim Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church grow in size
and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual
leader and place for fellowship; and
WHEREAS, over the past decade leading Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, Reverend Dr.
David L. Stallion Sr. has established numerous programs and workshops which have
improved the spiritual and educational growth of the church and the surrounding community;
and
WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the sick, counseling the
troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or
humanitarian, Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. has shown the energy, devotion, and
commitment truly reflective of divine guidance; and
WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion
Sr. and First Lady Tammy Stallion are a source of strength and direction for persons in all
walks of life; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the outstanding accomplishments
of the dynamic Christian ministry of this devout and pious family.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. on the wonderful
occasion of his 10th pastoral anniversary; commend First Lady Tammy Stallion for her care,
devotion, and passion to uplift the word of God; and extend best wishes for many more years
of successful fellowship and leadership.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
Stallions.
