A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life, legacy, and professional contributions of Anne Isenhower and
commemorating the memory of her son, Max Podowitz; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of two of its most distinguished citizens
with the passing of Anne Isenhower on January 1, 2026, and her son Max Podowitz in
December 2025; and
WHEREAS, Anne Isenhower of Atlanta, Georgia, was a respected and accomplished public
relations professional, known for her generosity, global network, and enduring commitment
to building and sustaining meaningful personal and professional relationships; and
WHEREAS, Anne Isenhower earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990 and devoted her career to communications and media
relations, serving in roles at the Atlanta History Center, SciTrek, and the Atlanta Committee
for the Olympic Games, among other institutions; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Isenhower's professional expertise extended to national and international
work, including public relations roles with FleishmanHillard, the American Cancer Society,
and Golin; and in 2011 she founded her own firm to provide strategic communications
support to prominent clients such as Rotary International, Deloitte, and the Task Force for
Public Health; and
WHEREAS, throughout her career Ms. Isenhower was recognized for her ability to connect
journalists with credible sources, her dedication to her clients, and her personal warmth,
which earned her the admiration of colleagues and friends alike; and
WHEREAS, beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Isenhower was a devoted
mother, teaching civic engagement and the importance of contributing to community and
democratic life; and
WHEREAS, Anne Isenhower's son, Max Podowitz, was her only child and treasured
companion, known by those who loved him as gentle, thoughtful, smart, and kind; and
WHEREAS, Max Podowitz was an 18-year-old freshman at New York University whose
unexpected death in December 2025 brought deep sorrow to his family and friends; and
WHEREAS, the profound bond between mother and son was well known among their
community, reflecting shared values of compassion, engagement, and intellectual curiosity;
and
WHEREAS, the passing of Anne Isenhower on January 1, 2026, and her son Max have left
a lasting impact on all who knew them, and their memories deserve enduring recognition by
the State of Georgia.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body honor the life and legacy of Anne Isenhower, commend her
professional achievements and personal generosity, as well as extend deepest sympathy on
the passing of her son, Max Podowitz.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
family of Anne Isenhower and Max Podowitz.
