By: Representatives Reeves of the 99th and Martinez of the 111th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Shen Yun Performing Arts; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Shen Yun Performing Arts, founded in 2006, is dedicated to reviving and
sharing the essence of 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture through classical Chinese
dance, music, and artistry; and
WHEREAS, Shen Yun’s breathtaking performances feature world-class dancers, musicians,
and vocalists who bring to life ancient legends, historical tales, and timeless spiritual values,
captivating audiences worldwide; and
WHEREAS, the company has enriched communities across Georgia with its annual tours,
including performances in Atlanta and other cities, fostering cultural appreciation, artistic
excellence, and cross-cultural understanding among Georgians of all backgrounds; and
WHEREAS, Shen Yun will perform at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre from
January 27 to February 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Shen Yun promotes universal themes of hope, courage, moral integrity, and
harmony that resonate deeply with the values cherished by the people of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the return of Shen Yun to Georgia stages offers residents an inspiring
oppurtunity to experiance the beauty of traditional Chinese heritage in a modern, world-class
production.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Shen Yun Performing Arts for preserving
the musical, historical, and artistic values of traditional Chinese culture in the state of
Georgia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Shen
Yun Performing Arts.
