House Resolution 107 By: Representatives Dubnik of the 29th, Dunahoo of the 31st, and Carson of the 46th A RESOLUTION Honoring and commending American Heritage Girls (AHG); and for other purposes. WHEREAS, American Heritage Girls (AHG) is currently chartered in every state except Utah; and WHEREAS, AHG has 39,839 national members in all 50 states; 1,220 troops nationally; 1,520 members in Georgia; and 43 troops in the State of Georgia, and its purpose is to instill spiritual and character development in young women; and WHEREAS, on June 25, 2015, AHG and Trail Life USA signed a Memorandum of Ministry Alliance, which is the highest form of relationship each organization can hold, and it was approved by both boards; and by sharing skills, talents, knowledge, and common goals, both groups will be able to empower and support their respective memberships in order to accomplish great things in their communities while spreading the love of God to others; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the efforts of American Heritage Girls toward improving the lives of the young women of this state be appropriately recognized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body honor and commend American Heritage Girls (AHG) for its tireless efforts in shaping the youth in Georgia and the United States and extend sincere best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to American Heritage Girls (AHG).
