House Resolution 1082 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jones of the 25th, Clark of the 100th, Barrett of the 24th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team for winning the 2025 GHSA Division III Boys Lacrosse State Championship; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team completed the 2025 season with a perfect 22-0 record, demonstrating extraordinary discipline, athletic excellence, and unwavering teamwork throughout regular-season and post-season play; and WHEREAS, on May 16, 2025, at Denmark High School, the Longhorns captured the 2025 GHSA Division III Boys Lacrosse State Championship with a decisive 12-0 victory over South Forsyth High School, earning the program its seventh state title; and WHEREAS, the Longhorns, guided by Director of Lacrosse Rich Wehman and Head Coach John Spaide, achieved a season goal differential of 317-62, a reflection of the team's balanced strength in offense, defense, and overall execution; and WHEREAS, in the championship game, senior attacker Cole Greenfield led all scorers with five goals, including a dominant second-quarter performance, while Brooks Wehman contributed two goals and multiple assists, and senior goalkeeper Luke Grasso anchored the defense with multiple saves, securing a complete shutout in his final high school appearance; and WHEREAS, the team's success is the result of the dedication of its student-athletes, the strategic leadership of its coaching staff, the support of families and the school community, and the longstanding tradition of excellence within the Lambert lacrosse program; securing their seventh overall state championship; and WHEREAS, the achievements of the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team bring honor to their school, their county, and the State of Georgia, making it abundantly fitting and proper that they be appropriately honored. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team, Director of Lacrosse Rich Wehman, Head Coach John Spaide, the coaching staff, and all participating student-athletes for winning the 2025 GHSA Division III State Championship as well as extend best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Lambert High School and the members of the 2025 Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team.
