A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the West Forsyth High School Girls Lacrosse Team for winning the 2025
Georgia High School Association Division 3 State Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the West Forsyth High School Girls Lacrosse Team represented West Forsyth
High School in the 2025 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Division 3 girls lacrosse
season; and
WHEREAS, the team demonstrated exceptional athletic skill, competitive discipline, and
consistent execution throughout the 2025 regular season and state playoff series; and
WHEREAS, during the 2025 campaign, the Wolverines compiled an outstanding 19-2
overall record, establishing themselves as one of the strongest girls lacrosse programs in the
State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, on May 16, 2025, at Denmark High School, the West Forsyth Girls Lacrosse
Team captured the 2025 GHSA Division 3 State Championship, defeating the Walton High
School Raiders by a decisive final score of 16-7 and securing the first girls lacrosse state title
in program history; and
WHEREAS, the Wolverines' championship performance marked the culmination of multiple
years of excellence and perseverance, following state runner-up finishes in both the 2023 and
2024 seasons; and
WHEREAS, the athletes of West Forsyth displayed extraordinary teamwork, resilience, and
competitive focus, while the coaching staff provided exceptional leadership, preparation, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend the West Forsyth High School Girls
Lacrosse Team for winning the 2025 GHSA Division 3 State Championship and congratulate
them for their outstanding athletic achievement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
West Forsyth High School Girls Lacrosse Team.
