A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the West Forsyth High School Boys Cross Country Team for winning the 2025
Georgia High School Association Class 6A State Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the West Forsyth High School Boys Cross Country Team represented West
Forsyth High School in the 2025 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class 6A cross
country season; and
WHEREAS, the team demonstrated exceptional endurance, competitive discipline, and
strategic excellence throughout the 2025 regular season and state championship series; and
WHEREAS, at the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Championship meet held in Carrollton, the
West Forsyth Boys Cross Country Team secured the GHSA 6A State Title, marking the
program's first state championship in school history; and
WHEREAS, the championship performance was led by student-athletes Sena Hosu, Cooper
Thomas, Hanniel Soosaidas, Om Jagtap, Matthew Prouty, Nick Bignon, and Cody Guion,
whose collective effort produced a dominant team showing; and
WHEREAS, the leadership of Head Coach Clayton Tillery and assistant coaches Jason
Wayne, Sarah Loftus, and Scott Griffith was instrumental in guiding the athletes to peak
performance throughout the season; and
WHEREAS, this historic accomplishment stands as a testament to the dedication of the
student-athletes, the commitment of the coaching staff, and the strong support of the West
Forsyth community; and
WHEREAS, the team has brought great pride to West Forsyth High School, Forsyth County,
and the State of Georgia through their example of sportsmanship, perseverance, and
excellence.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend the West Forsyth High School Boys Cross
Country Team for winning the 2025 Georgia High School Association Class 6A State
Championship and congratulate them for their outstanding athletic achievement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to West
Forsyth High School and the West Forsyth Boys Cross Country Team.
