House Resolution 1102
By: Representative Smith of the 18th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Taylor Griffin; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Taylor Griffin is a highly praised kindergarten teacher at Carrollton Elementary
School, tirelessly directing an extraordinary amount of time and talent toward guiding
students to a brighter future; and
WHEREAS, her dedication extends far beyond the classroom, as Taylor Griffin has been
named the program director and head football and competition cheerleading coach for the
Carrollton High School Trojans; and
WHEREAS, Taylor Griffin, a third-generation Trojan cheerleader and 2015 Carrollton High
School graduate, was named the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association runner-up for
Cheerleader of the Year in 2014 and was a member of the Trojans' 2011 state championship
team; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her successful high school cheerleading career, Taylor Griffin has
coached with the Trojans cheerleading program as a community coach for middle school and
junior varsity teams since 2018 as well served as head coach of cheerleading and gymnastics
programs at Bremen High School from 2022-2025; and
WHEREAS, while at Bremen High School, her cheer teams won the 1A Division 2 state
championship in 2024, and her gymnastics teams placed second in Class 1-4A in 2023 as
well as 2025; and
WHEREAS, during the 2025 fall season, Taylor Griffin assisted Carrollton's cheer program
under Coach Kelsey Shannon, helping the Trojans earn top-six finishes in both competition
and gameday cheer; and
WHEREAS, Taylor Griffin is a life-long Trojan cheerleader with an unwavering dedication
to student success, mentorship, and giving back to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Taylor Griffin for her steadfast support
of student athletes and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and
success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Taylor Griffin.
