A RESOLUTION

Celebrating the continued observance of March 5 as Small Business Day and designating March 5, 2026, as Corporate and Entrepreneurial Women in Leadership Day at the Georgia State Capitol; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia recognizes that a strong, innovative, and inclusive economy depends upon education, small business development, entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and financial literacy to drive job creation, workforce readiness, and community prosperity across the state; and

WHEREAS, the Georgia General Assembly first established March 5 as a day of significance at the Georgia State Capitol in 2024, recognizing business advocacy, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment initiatives convened by business, education, and community leaders; and

WHEREAS, during the 2025 legislative session, the Georgia House of Representatives reaffirmed this observance through House Resolution 360, officially recognizing March 5, 2025, as Small Business Day at the State Capitol and commending the “Capitalize Georgia: Empowering Financial Futures and Business Excellence Symposium” for advancing financial literacy, business excellence, and entrepreneurial success; and

WHEREAS, House Resolution 360 acknowledged the leadership of Dr. Jacqueline Mohair, Dr. Sonya Hamm, and Dr. Dorothea (Dee) Dawkins-Haigler, and recognized the collaborative efforts of TIUA School of Business, Trinity Girls Network Corp., The Organization of World Leaders, and Hamm Financial Group in convening impactful business and financial empowerment programming aligned with Georgia's economic priorities; and

WHEREAS, throughout 2025, the Georgia General Assembly further recognized Trinity International University of Ambassadors (TIUA) and its affiliated initiatives for contributions to education, literacy, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and women's leadership, including recognitions associated with Education Day, International Literacy Day, entrepreneurship programming, and women's leadership initiatives; and

WHEREAS, Trinity International University of Ambassadors (TIUA) School of Business has demonstrated sustained leadership by convening education-, business-, and entrepreneurship-focused engagements at the State Capitol over multiple consecutive years, supporting ethical leadership, workforce readiness, and economic empowerment; and

WHEREAS, Trinity Girls Network Corp. has complemented this work through leadership development, mentorship, and empowerment initiatives serving women, girls, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders across the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, The Organization of World Leaders has contributed to leadership development and global engagement by supporting initiatives that promote ethical leadership, collaboration, and civic responsibility; and

WHEREAS, Hamm Financial Group has advanced financial literacy, wealth-building education, and economic empowerment, supporting entrepreneurs and business leaders in strengthening financial futures; and

WHEREAS, women-owned businesses, women-led enterprises, and women entrepreneurs represent a vital and growing segment of Georgia's economy, contributing innovation, governance, entrepreneurial leadership, mentorship, and community investment; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Corporate America Georgia serves as a leadership and recognition platform elevating corporate women, entrepreneurs, business owners, founders, and professionals who exemplify excellence in leadership, integrity in business, service to their communities, and commitment to mentorship and economic empowerment; and

WHEREAS, as part of the March 5, 2026 observance, the leadership anthology titled Women Who Build Georgia: Corporate and Entrepreneurial Women Leading with Purpose will be released, serving as an educational and commemorative publication highlighting leadership, entrepreneurship, financial empowerment, and economic impact across Georgia; and

WHEREAS, building upon the foundation established in 2024, reaffirmed and celebrated in 2025, and strengthened through continued Capitol engagement, the observance of March 5, 2026, provides an appropriate occasion to celebrate Small Business Day, honor corporate and entrepreneurial women leaders, and recognize the integration of education, business, and leadership development within Georgia's economic ecosystem.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body celebrate the continued observance of March 5 as Small Business Day at the Georgia State Capitol; recognize Ms. Corporate America Georgia, Trinity International University of Ambassadors School of Business, Trinity Girls Network Corp., The Organization of World Leaders, and Hamm Financial Group for their sustained contributions to education, entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, financial empowerment, and workforce advancement; and designate March 5, 2026, as Corporate & Entrepreneurial Women in Leadership Day at the Georgia State Capitol, honoring corporate women, entrepreneurs, business owners, educators, and community leaders whose work strengthens Georgia's economy and communities.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the leadership of Ms. Corporate America Georgia, Trinity International University of Ambassadors School of Business, Trinity Girls Network Corp., The Organization of World Leaders, and Hamm Financial Group.
