A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Yolanda Vanessa Kendrick McColumn upon her retirement; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Yolanda Vanessa Kendrick McColumn has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced dramatically by her superlative service to Morehouse College; and
WHEREAS, in her free time, Yolanda is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., a certified Bible scholar, a choir member at Greenforest Baptist Church, chairperson of the Couples Ministry, a pickle-ball and kickball player, as well as a proud grandmother; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, Yolanda Vanessa Kendrick McColumn has served with honor and distinction with Morehouse College, and her reliability, institutional knowledge, and unwavering professionalism will be sorely missed upon the occasion of her retirement; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Yolanda Vanessa Kendrick McColumn for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; congratulate her upon the grand occasion of her retirement; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Yolanda Vanessa Kendrick McColumn.
